The rebar coupler system with 4010 female socket bars and 2020 male connector bars from DEMU  are certified for category 2! This is valid for bars round 20 (M24) and round 25 (M30). The mechanical connectors are applicable in dynamic loaded concrete constructions.

The official hand over of the certificate took place at the Betondag (Concrete Day) on 19-11-2009.

Till November 2009 the rebar coupler system was certified upto and including round 40 M48 by KIWA, certificate nr K-7044 for category 1, mainly statically loaded constructions. Of course, this stays valid, but beside this, the bars round 20 (M24) and round 25 (M30) are now also certified category 2.
