Lifting anchor system

The following process can be used to determine the lifting anchor system:

Step 1.

Determining the loads on the lifting anchor system. Here account must be taken of its own weight, connection to the shuttering, dynamic load, lifting angle and number of loaded anchors. The formulas and calculation methods are described here (in Dutch).

Step 2.

The choice of lifting anchors and lifting gear is also determined by the shape of the element. A wall or beam, a flat sheet (short anchors) or a column. This annex (in Dutch) describes which lifting anchor system can be used with which concrete element.

Step 3.

The choice of the exact lifting anchor system can be determined using the load tables. These can be found in our lifting systems technical documentation (in Dutch). For each concrete quality and taking into account distances from the edge and the necessary additional reinforcement.

The good operation of the DEMU lifting anchor system is guaranteed if both the anchor and lifting gear are DEMU.

We also have the operating instructions for the lifting gear available for you. These instructions for use can also be found under documentation (in English!)

The safety factors applicable for the lifting of concrete elements are greater than the safety factors for fixing and construction systems. The calculation program for the calculating of bolt anchors from DEMU (based on the CUR25) is therefore not used for determining lifting anchors.

The lifting equipment is CE-marked and the certificate and instructions for use are enclosed on delivery.
